Karma

The whole philosophy of karma is that you are responsible. Whatsoever you have sown in the past you are reaping. You may not be able to follow the link between the cause and the effect, but if the effect is there, the cause must be there somewhere in you.

Ignorance

Ignorance is the first step towards wisdom: to realize that you are not wise, to realize that no trick of hiding it is going to help.
One who realizes that he is ignorant is already on the path.
One who realizes that he is poor is already on the path of the kingdom of God, the real treasure.
One who realizes that he is blind…..his eyes are already opening.
One who realizes that he is deaf will sooner or later become capable of listening.
And then he will know the music of existence.
If you hide it, you help it…..because in darkness it grows, and becomes bigger and bigger, and takes infinite proportions.
Open it to the light and the sky and the air and it dies…..because it cannot live in light.
Ignorance is like the roots of a tree: if you bring them out, they die. In the light they cannot survive. They are the dwellers of darkness; in the pure air they cannot survive. But if you hide, then you help them grow.

Inferiority Complex

The will to dominate comes out of an inferiority complex. One wants to dominate others, just to prove to himself that he is not inferior — he is superior. But he needs to prove it. Without any proof he knows he is inferior; he has to cover it up by many, many proofs.

The really superior man needs no proof, he simply is superior. Does a roseflower argue about its beauty? Does the full moon bother about proving its gloriousness? The superior man simply knows it, there is no need for any proof; hence he has no will to dominate.

5 steps of meditation !!

The Five Steps of Meditation

In the beginning, meditation is just a relaxation.
In the second step, meditation is something that gives you energy; you feel more energetic.
In the third step, meditation brings creativity.
In the fourth step, mediation brings enthusiasm and joy.
The fifth step of meditation is indescribable, you simply can’t describe it. It is that oneness with the whole universe. This is the fifth step of meditation, and don’t stop before that.

Karma & Yoga !

There are three types of karma:
1. Karta: where you do it yourself
2. Kaaryata: where you make someone else do it
3. Anumodi: where you just keep quiet or accept others doing their karma, and that also brings you karma.
If you really go deep into karma, it is really scary! Suppose a thief or dacoit is stealing something , and suppose you have fed him something, you get the karma of that doing also. Suppose you have fed a beggar on the street, and he does some wrong thing, that karma will also come to you. Karma is a vast and endless subject.
Now, how can one be, without karma sticking on to you? That is yoga! Yoga greases you in such a way that karma doesn’t stick anywhere. When halwa (a sweet pudding) is made, more ghee (clarified butter)is added so that it does not stick to the pan. Similarly, bhakti (devotion) is that ghee (grease) which does not allow karma to stick on to the pan (body)
